Embassy of Canada to China Webinar #3: Food Ingredient and Compliance Regulation of Packaged Foods i

Cross-border e-commerce allows Chinese consumers to enjoy a variety of snacks and beverages from all over the world with just a few taps on their smartphones. In China, Canada is well known for its fresh seafood, however, Canada faces a lot of competition in the processed and packaged food sector. Maple syrup is widely recognized by Chinese consumers as being associated with Canada, but other Canadian packaged food products have less inherent market recognition. To respond to the evolving Chinese e-commerce landscape, the Embassy of Canada to China worked with RedFern Digital, a full-service marketing agency that helps international brands succeed in China, to produce a thorough analysis of the opportunities for Canadian imported packaged food products in China to help Canadian companies understand the market. They have produced an extensive report on Canadian brands and consumer trends. *Once registering for Webinar #1, the report will be available for download in the corresponding invitation email under download and preview webinar materials.Accompanying this report, the Embassy has organized a series of webinars for Canadian processed and packaged food companies already exporting to China or that may be interested in the Chinese market.
