The Conestoga Centre for Commercialization (C4C) has developed an interactive IP workshop designed to equip foodtech entrepreneurs with practical knowledge and insights into developing and executing an IP strategy that aligns with their broader business goals while minimizing risks.
Led by Alla Darwish, PhD, MBA, Director of Commercialization & IP Mobilization, Centre for Commercialization, Conestoga College, this session will:
- Introduce the different types of IP and intangible assets relevant to the foodtech sector, from novel ingredients and production methods to packaging, distribution, and foodservice innovations;
- Explore how to de-risk the commercialization pathway by identifying, protecting, and leveraging IP assets;
- Provide practical insights into how IP supports competitive positioning, market defense, and investor readiness; and
- Connect IP considerations to branding, market expansion, and overall business strategy.
In addition to the workshop, each participating company will receive up to 6 hours of 1:1 IP consulting from C4C to apply these learnings directly to their own venture.
