Session Overview
Intellectual property is a critical but often misunderstood component of foodtech commercialization. Session 2 is designed to help founders understand how to protect their innovations, strengthen competitive positioning, and align IP strategy with go-to-market and funding objectives. This session will provide practical guidance on navigating patents, data protection, branding, and trade secrets in the context of food technology and novel ingredients.
Participants will also be introduced to the support available through Conestoga College’s Centre for Commercialization (C4C), including access to one-on-one IP consulting as part of the UFO program.
